FFpedia:Scope
From Final Fantasypedia, the Final Fantasy wiki
Jump to navigationJump to search
This page discusses the scope of Final Fantasypedia. This wiki primarily covers the Final Fantasy franchise, its spinoff series (e.g. Chocobo), and related appearances that are ambiguously a part of the Final Fantasy franchise (e.g. Vanguard Story and Bravely Default).
Our scope is handled similarly to Mariopedia's. Because the Final Fantasy franchise is so large, it is important to note how far our scope should go. There are a couple of franchises and series that, while they are not part of the Final Fantasy franchise, are closely connected to it, so they are covered here as an added bonus. This includes:
- Mana - The first game is a Final Fantasy title. Because Secret of Evermore is a related title of the Mana series and even features some Final Fantasy cameos, it may also be covered here.
- SaGa - The first three games were localized in North America as Final Fantasy titles.
- Chrono - The first game, Chrono Trigger, is packaged with Final Fantasy IV as a part of Final Fantasy Chronicles.
- Kingdom Hearts - While owned by Disney, Kingdom Hearts includes several recurring elements from the Final Fantasy franchise, and some games feature Cloud Strife as a party member.
